Who do I call if I lose power?
Please do NOT call REMC directly. Please call the # for town hall (219-984-5494) and hit extension 4 for the town superintendent. There is a procedure that must be followed to identify the town as a customer and to get the quickest response possible.
How do I reach law enforcement for non-emergency issues?
The Chalmers Town Marshal and Deputies are part time so if you need to reach someone in law enforcement for non-emergency issues and cannot wait for them to return a msg (219-984-5494 Ext 3) you can call White Co. dispatch at 574-583-2251. An example might be a request for a vehicle/boat inspection.
